Delcoline Chooses Epicor Vision Automotive Aftermarket Enterprise Software

A member of the ACDelco Dedicated Distribution Group (DDG), Delcoline serves vehicle dealership service operations, independent repair shops and do-it-yourselfers through seven locations across northern Virginia and southern Maryland and within the District of Columbia.

DUBLIN, Calif. – Epicor Software Corp. has announced that Delcoline, a leading replacement parts distributor serving the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area, has selected the Epicor Vision business management software to support the company’s growth and continue to enhance service levels within its wholesale, retail and export businesses.

A member of the ACDelco Dedicated Distribution Group (DDG), Delcoline serves vehicle dealership service operations, independent repair shops and do-it-yourselfers through seven locations across northern Virginia and southern Maryland and within the District of Columbia. The company has experienced double-digit growth in each area of its business over the past several years, according to Delcoline Information Technology Director Sam Majidi.

“Our business has become much more complex as a result of our sales growth and the need to manage inventory across a larger footprint,” Majidi said. “Epicor Vision will enable us to save significant time and money each month by automating an incredible number of manual processes, eliminating paperwork and helping us provide a better mix of products for all of our customers.”

A longtime user of the Epicor Prism distribution management solution, Delcoline will no longer need to export inventory data to spreadsheets for manual analysis of sales rankings, order points and other key inventory management practices, according to Epicor. The Epicor Vision solution’s extensive range of inventory management tools and integrated Epicor Compass analytics enable users to easily track virtually every element of business performance, including daily sales reports down to the SKU level, the company says.

Delcoline employees also will leverage the Epicor LaserCat 3 electronic catalog interface and the Epicor Cover-to-Cover graphical eCatalog module to help drive sales, counter efficiency and professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Delcoline considered several solutions before deciding on the Epicor platform. According to Majidi, among the key differentiators was the success of other large distributors in driving business growth and efficiency using Epicor Vision. “Other distributors raved about the software. But more important, I was able to see firsthand how they had implemented Epicor Vision to grow their businesses,” he said.

Delcoline’s own experiences with Epicor products and support were additional, important considerations, according to Majidi. “Epicor has been a pleasure to work with over the past two decades,” he said. “Their support staff is outstanding, which eliminates the concerns that naturally arise when you’re switching to a new technology.”

“Delcoline has a complex business model – serving essentially three distinct distribution channels – yet they’ll be able to run their entire operation with much greater control and efficiency with the help of the Epicor Vision software,” said Paul Salsgiver, executive vice president, retail software for Epicor. “Vision is a solution they can ‘grow’ with in every sense of the word – through higher service levels for customers, increased sales in every area of their business, and in managing and optimizing an ever larger network of business locations.”
