ContiTech Introduces New Tool Box for Asian Import Vehicles

Kit contains 26 special mounting tools and brochure.

CLEVELAND – ContiTech’s Power Transmission Group has introduced a new tool box with equipment specifically designed to change timing belts in Asian import vehicles.

The Conti Tool Box Asian Cars provides professional support in changing timing belts, especially for Asian vehicles, and gives the technician everything needed to change timing belts safely and professionally. The kit contains 26 mounting tools such as a setting gage for camshafts, various set pins/locking pins and arrestors. The kit is now available at specialist ContiTech distributors.

“Asian manufacturers control more than 30 percent of the worldwide car production, with those percentages increasing all the time,” said Markus Pirsch, head of the ContiTech Power Transmission Group’s marketing service. “Consequently, the importance of spare parts and mounting tools specifically for these vehicles also is growing.”

The tools are arranged in a sturdy 18” x 14” x 4” heavy-duty plastic carrying case and fit in cavities custom cut into a polyurethane foam organizer to keep them from damage while in transport. A brochure detailing usage also is included with the tool kit.
