Chicago Pneumatic Returns to NHRA as Major Sponsor

Chicago Pneumatic (CP), a global provider of aftermarket tools, accessories and compressors, has announced the continuation of its relationship and support of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series as a major sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.

Chicago Pneumatic debuted with NHRA in 2004, both as a sponsor and on the NHRA Manufacturer’s Midway, sharing a 53-foot display trailer with Ringers Gloves, the Official Gloves of NHRA.

During the past four years CP has become a fixture on the midway, providing racers and crew members throughout the professional classes and the sportsmen ranks alike with customer service, sales and support of all Chicago Pneumatic products.

This race season, Wyotech, the Official Technical School of NHRA, will join Chicago Pneumatic and Ringers Gloves as a partner in the 2008 Road Show tour, hitting all 24 POWERade Drag Racing Series events across the country.

“The NHRA series is a fantastic event for Chicago Pneumatic,” said Paul Humphreys, global communications manager for Chicago Pneumatic Vehicle Service. “The opportunity to be involved in such an exciting event and for us to meet hundreds of thousands of tool users is crucial in mobilizing the CP brand and showing the many new products planned for 2008.”

The sponsorship renewal with NHRA continues to support the professional and sportsmen racers with contingency postings at all national events in two categories, air tools and air compressors. Chicago Pneumatic extends their support of the program to the following classes; Funny Car, Pro Stock, Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp and Super Gas.

The 2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series kicks off with the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals, February 7-10, at the Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA.
