ELGIN, IL — The Council of Fleet Specialists (CFS) board of directors has established a scholarship fund in honor of industry veteran Leon Settles who passed away on January 24 following a prolonged illness. He was 82.
Settles founded Weldon Parts (short hand for Well Done) in 1955 and guided the development of the business in Oklahoma City for many years. He was also one of the founders of CFS. Weldon Parts today has grown to 10 locations in four states.
The scholarship will benefit undergraduate students enrolled in Northwood University’s Heavy-Duty Aftermarket Management Program.
