Centric Parts Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The company was founded in 2000 in Southern California and has enjoyed solid growth every year since, including a 12 percent jump in aftermarket sales in 2009.

LOS ANGELES — Aftermarket brake manufacturer Centric Parts will hit a major milestone at the end of the month when the company reaches its 10th anniversary on June 30.

"We are of course thankful that our dedication to innovation and customer service at Centric Parts has provided a rewarding first decade for the company and its customers,” said Dan Lelchuk, president of Centric Parts.

The company was founded in 2000 in Southern California and has enjoyed solid growth every year since, including a 12 percent jump in aftermarket sales in 2009. Today, the company operates multiple warehouse and manufacturing facilities totaling 438,000 square feet and exceeding 550 employees.

From an initial catalog of 14,000 part numbers, efforts in research and development have helped the company’s catalogs grow to nearly 45,000 items. Centric Parts catalogs now support nearly every make and model from passenger cars to medium-duty trucks manufactured since 1937.

Over the past 10 years, Centric says it has earned a string of braking technology patents, has been repeatedly awarded by the Friction Materials Standards Institute for excelling in actively contributing information and research to support a standardized part numbering system, and has earned the coveted TÜV approval on several big brake kits. Centric Parts has also earned a string of industry awards for its quality sales force, efficient order fill process, great cataloging and quality products.

“Centric Parts has unswervingly stuck to our ‘Right Part, Right Place, Right Time’ philosophy with great results,” said Lelchuk. “That will remain Centric Parts’ mantra for the next 10 years and beyond.”

Originally focusing on replacement parts for everyday use, Centric parts has aggressively expanded into the performance market by acquiring StopTech as the ultra-performance division in 2006 and Power Slot in 2007 as the performance division. More recently, Centric Parts has expanded its offering to include wheel hubs, bearings and bearing components.
