CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA — Centric Parts, a provider of aftermarket replacement brake and clutch parts, has acquired Power Performance Group, Inc, which further expands Centric’s growing portfolio of brake manufacturers. This announcement follows the company’s purchase last year of StopTech, which is now the performance engineering and manufacturing division of Centric Parts.

Power Performance Group is the manufacturer behind the Power Slot brand of performance brake products. Founded in 1997 by Eric Breslow, Power Slot was the first performance brand to distribute a full line of direct fit replacement slotted brake discs. Power Slot is also the west coast’s largest shipping point for HAWK Performance brake pads.

"In an industry defining move, the merging of these three distinctive premium brands into one brake powerhouse provides our customers with the ultimate one stop shopping solution, and gives Power Slot tremendous new resources and opportunities by reducing time to market, providing more efficient shipping capabilities, and leveraging immense global production capacities," said Breslow. “Centric Parts is very excited to now include Power Performance Group as a member of our team. We recognize that Power Performance has grown to become a market leader, offering world class products and service. This is in perfect alignment with our philosophies and culture.

“Together, Power Performance Group, StopTech and Centric Parts emerge as the clear market leader in performance brake components and systems. A multitude of opportunities lay before us; we look forward to the challenge,” said Centric Parts/StopTech President Dan Lelchuk.
