CARS 2009 Exhibitor Theaters Provide Attendees with Free Education During Expo

To-date, Gates Corp., Certified Transmission and CustomerLink are the confirmed exhibiting companies sponsoring the CARS 2009 Exhibitor Theaters on Thursday, Nov. 5 and Friday, Nov. 6.

DALLAS — CARS 2009 attendees walking and shopping through the exhibits will benefit from free education presented by three industry-leaders during two full days of scheduled Exhibitor Theaters. To-date, Gates Corp., Certified Transmission and CustomerLink are the confirmed exhibiting companies sponsoring the CARS 2009 Exhibitor Theaters on Thursday, Nov. 5, and Friday, Nov. 6.

The upcoming Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS) and the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE), taking place Nov. 4-7, are sponsored by Automotive Service Association (ASA) and are co-located at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Both events take place during the second annual Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW). Auto Glass Week is also co-located during ASRW and features exhibits, education and competitions for the auto glass professional.

The CARS 2009 Exhibitor Theaters have been designed for sponsoring exhibitors to lead their own education and training on the exhibit hall floor, free to all registered attendees. Sponsors will provide cutting edge information, instruction and hands-on demonstrations on their newest processes, products and technology.

CustomerLink kicks-off Exhibitor Theater 1 as Thursday’s sponsor. "So many shops out there make marketing decisions based on what they ‘believe’ or what they ‘assume’ about their customers," shared Jim Bonfield, VP of business development for CustomerLink Systems. "We want to change that thinking, get these business men and women away from generalized ideas about marketing and focused on looking at their specific databases and their actual, local customer pools.  If we can show them the value of making marketing decisions based on real data and hard facts pertinent to their shops, we can make a difference for their bottom line."

Friday’s Exhibitor Theater 1 is sponsored by Certified Transmission. “Certified Transmission is excited to present a five part educational theater at CARS 2009. Topics include direct mail and internet marketing, tips for selling transmission services and remans, employee compensation, as well as the ever-popular topic of boosting profit," said Terry Cash, national sales director of Certified Transmission. "We certainly hope every attendee takes advantage of our five free sessions, taking our motto, ‘the job done right…at the right price,’ to heart and to a whole new level!”

Sponsoring seven sessions in Exhibitor Theater 2 on both Thursday and Friday is Gates Corp. Bobby Bassett, Gates’ North American manager of training, commented, “One out of five vehicles on the road needs a new belt. Our CARS theater presentation will help make sure you’re the one who installs it. Understanding new belt technology is good business. Timely belt and tensioner evaluation and replacement benefit your customers, your reputation and profitability. In just 25 minutes you’ll learn about ‘industry changing’ information from Gates that will increase your profits, eliminate comebacks as well as unneeded warranties.”
