BETHESDA, Md. The Car Care Council reminds repair shops, parts stores and other aftermarket organizations to gain exposure of their upcoming 2011 National Car Care Month events by registering them at www.carcare.org/host-an-event/CCM-form. The council will list the registered events in its “Find an Event” locator and share event information with its growing Facebook community.
“The Car Care Council has had great success promoting National Car Care Month events on its website, and with the increasing popularity of Facebook, we are reaching an even larger audience with our Facebook fan base,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council.
Each year during National Car Care Month, hundreds of community car care events are conducted nationwide by independent repair shops and auto parts stores, as well as vocational schools and other aftermarket organizations. The free inspections held during these events have revealed that a vast majority of vehicles require some type of service and provide an opportunity for technicians to share repair information with motorists in a fun, non-threatening environment.
“Consumers are conscious of every penny they spend these days, recognizing that maintaining their vehicle is a more efficient alternative than purchasing a new one,” said White. “Community car care events are a tremendous chance to show motorists just how much they can save in the long run through proper vehicle maintenance.”
To help organizations conduct community car care events, the council offers a National Car Care Month Tool Kit that has everything needed to participate or get involved. The tool kit can be found by visiting www.carcareindustry.com.
