CABA Announces 20 New Education Classes for Maryland, Delaware and D.C. Independent Shops

The program runs from Jan. 30 through Feb. 25, 2010, and includes 20 education sessions presented at three locations (Catonsville, Rockville and Salisbury) around the State of Maryland.

PASADENA, Md. — The Chesapeake Automotive Business Association (CABA) has released its 2010 CABA Education Days schedule and list of classes. The program runs from Jan. 30 through Feb. 25, 2010, and includes 20 education sessions presented at three locations (Catonsville, Rockville and Salisbury) around the State of Maryland.

"Our service center customers are challenged every day to keep up with technical advancements in vehicle systems" said Bill Cropper, president of CABA and owner of Salisbury Automotive NAPA. "CABA Education Days seeks to identify the most critical education needs, find the best instructors available and to present the class in the most convenient locations. The 2010 Education Days brings this together better than ever."

Several instructors in the CABA Education Days program are among the most noted aftermarket educators in the country. Vince Fischelli of Garland, Texas, is an author of several books on automotive electronics and is contracted to present four sessions in the CABA program. Dan Marinucci of Fairlawn, Ohio, is one of the most sought-after Asian drivability instructors in the world and is known for his monthly articles in various trade magazines. Marinucci will present a full-day session on Feb. 6 at Montgomery College. Dave Scaler and Luis Ruiz of Columbia, N.J., are popular instructors for the Mechanics Education Association and together will present four advanced technical sessions intended for the most accomplished ASE technicians in our area. Dave Solomon of Butler, Md., is author of a unique pattern-failure database, the host of a weekly car care radio broadcast and is an instructor in two of the CABA Education Days events. Craig Van Batenburg of Worcester, Mass., is the leading expert instructor on hybrid vehicles and is scheduled back again this year to drill down into the more advanced systems within the hybrid vehicle technology.

CABA Education Days also presents five topics for management in the program. Included for both service center and supplier owners are classes on Consumer-Directed Health Savings Account Insurance plans, 20-Group organizations and car dealer competition.

Registrations for the CABA Education Days sessions are being accepted by phone or email to CABA: (410) 647-0505 or [email protected]. A full list of the 2010 CABA Education Days classes is available to view and print at www.caba.biz.
