Brembo Returns As Supercar And Media Sponsor Of 2015 Concours d’Elegance Of America

In addition to celebrating its fifth year at the 2015 Concours d’Elegance of America, this year also marks the 40th Anniversary of Brembo’s first entry into motorsports. Brembo supplied its first racing brake system to Ferrari in the 1975 Formula One World Championship.

Brembo - ShowcaseBrembo returns as the official media host and Supercar Display sponsor for the 2015 Concours d’Elegance of America.  The event takes place at The Inn at St. John’s, Plymouth, Michigan, on July 26.

For the fifth consecutive year, Brembo is the Supercar Display sponsor of the Concours d’Elegance of America, which features 25 unique supercars and motorcycles, including the 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale A, 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe, 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari Coupe, 2016 BMW Motorcycle R 1200 RS, 2015 BMW R nineT and 2015 Polaris Slingshot SL Three Wheeler.

“The Concours represents the past, present and future of the automotive industry,” said Dan Sandberg, Brembo North America president and CEO. “As Brembo celebrates its 40th year in motorsports, we are able to bring our history to this event and showcase the company’s brake product history with supercars, motorcycles and race cars.”

Brembo will display a sample of the latest OE calipers that are standard equipment on the 2016 Corvette Z07, 2016 Dodge Viper American Club Racer (ACR), 2016 Cadillac CTS-V and the 2015 Ford Mustang. There also will be a display of four Brembo specialty rotors, including cast iron two-piece, carbon ceramic and carbon carbon rotors, as well as the company’s OE specification, integral cast iron rotors. A special Formula 1 display also  is in the booth with a carbon carbon rotor and Formula 1 caliper.

Brembo will showcase its premium range of aftermarket products with special focus on protective UV-coated brake rotors and pads. UV-coated rotors are corrosion-resistant and visually appealing with specialized metallic paint that guarantees the parts will perform and look good throughout its lifespan, according to Brembo.

In addition to celebrating its fifth year at the 2015 Concours d’Elegance of America, this year also marks the 40th Anniversary of Brembo’s first entry into motorsports. Brembo supplied its first racing brake system to Ferrari in the 1975 Formula One World Championship. Since then, the Italian company has invested heavily in research and development of highly innovative and technological products.
