LAS VEGAS — Robert Bosch Corp. recently launched a new premium replacement fuel pump program for domestic and import vehicles. According to Bosch, the all new replacement fuel pumps allow the installation of superior turbine technology in more than 65 percent of vehicles equipped with electric fuel pumps – many of which are equipped with older technology pumps.

The new Bosch fuel pump program includes full coverage of electric fuel pumps and modules, mechanical fuel pumps, and fuel pump filter screens that conform to OE dimensions and appearance.

According to Chuck Ruth, director, product management, engine management products for Bosch, Bosch premium fuel pumps are designed and manufactured to meet the demanding needs of installers and motorists for replacement fuel pumps.

“The turbine technology in the new Bosch electric fuel pumps meets or exceeds OE performance in flow rate, output pressure and quiet operation. The advanced turbine design eliminates fuel pump noise, reduces hot start problems and ensures increased durability for long life.”

For the new line, Bosch evaluated older, high warranty rate inner-gear and roller-vane designs and replaced them with modern, turbine technology, and developed the turbine technology pumps to offer a longer service life. Bosch aftermarket fuel pumps are produced on the same world-class production lines that the company uses in manufacturing original equipment pumps for automakers, Ruth added.
