Best Business Practices Slated for Discussion at ADS International Convention & Tradeshow

Practical business and technical best practices will be discussed at the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) International Convention & Trade Show, scheduled to take place Aug. 3-7, at The Wynn Las Vegas Resort in Las Vegas. ADS is a non-profit, international trade association with more than 750 members in the United States, Canada, Mexico and 56 other countries. Its primary focus is on the service and technology of diesel fuel injection, governor and turbocharger systems.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Practical business and technical best practices will be discussed at the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) International Convention & Trade Show, scheduled to take place Aug. 3-7, at The Wynn Las Vegas Resort in Las Vegas.

ADS is a non-profit, international trade association with more than 750 members in the United States, Canada, Mexico and 56 other countries. Its primary focus is on the service and technology of diesel fuel injection, governor and turbocharger systems.

Topics and speakers to be featured at this year’s convention and trade show include:

* “Weather Forecast for Diesel Technology: Cleaner Diesel on the Horizon, But Expect Partly Cloudy and Potentially Stormy Periods” – an update on diesel public policy by Allen Schaeffer, executive director, Diesel Technology Forum

* The Ford Powerstroke 6.0L – a technical comparison of the 7.3L and the new 6.0L by Antonio Salas of Performance Automotive Techniques, ADS’s exclusive technical advisor

* “Effective and Lawful People Management” – a business management seminar by Jeffery Place of Spencer Fane Britt & Browne

* “Selling Your Ideas, Yourself, Your Vision and Even Your Services” – the Forerunners-sponsored motivational seminar by Barry Maher of Barry Maher & Associates

* Luncheon address – a special luncheon presentation by Tom Ryan, noted corporate speaker and stand-up comedian.

* The convention program also includes seminars by diesel manufacturers on the latest technology and equipment. Featured manufacturers include Cummins Inc., Delphi Diesel Aftermarket, Denso Sales California Inc., Robert Bosch Corp. and Robert Bosch Workshop Equipment Division, Stanadyne Corp.

* This year’s program also includes the “Get Acquainted Reception” on Wednesday, Aug. 3, and displays and exhibits of the latest technological developments at the tradeshow. The tradeshow on Saturday morning is free to additional employees of ADS service members who have two representatives registered for the convention at the regular rate. The employees can visit the show and talk directly with manufacturers and service providers to learn more about the latest developments in diesel service.

The ADS convention will conclude with the finale reception and networking on Saturday, Aug. 6.
