Bartec USA Announces Next-Gen Rite-Sensor

The RS-2000 is tailored for vehicles equipped with "hi-line TPMS," specifically those having wheel arch initiators.

Bartec TPMS has released its second-generation Rite-Sensor, the RS-2000. The new sensor is designed to be fully compatible with the original version, ensuring a smooth transition for existing customers, according to Matthew Hitchcock, Bartec TPMS Product manager. He added that this move is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to achieve comprehensive vehicle coverage.

The RS-2000 is tailored for vehicles equipped with “hi-line TPMS,” specifically those having wheel arch initiators. Bartec CEO Scot Holloway said that updated design leads to enhanced sensor performance and will offer improved future diagnostics.

The new Rite-Sensor became available in September and can be purchased through authorized dealers. Users of Bartec TPMS tools, including the Tech600pro, Tech550Pro, Tech450 Pro and TechRITEPro, are required to download and install update 6.0 to access the expanded vehicle coverage. Meanwhile, Tech500Pro, Tech400Pro and Tech300Pro users should acquire update 66.0. These updates can be found on the company’s website or via the TPMS Desktop, Bartec said.

For further information on the new Rite-Sensor and other developments, attendees of the upcoming SEMA Show can visit Bartec TPMS’ booth #41057.
