LENEXA, Kan. Automotive Parts Associates (APA) has announced the winners of the Professionals’ Choice Auto Parts Kansas Speedway Sweepstakes.
“This was the best weekend of my life!” “My legs went weak when Richard Childress shook my hand and took his picture with me.” “I can’t believe we were rubbing elbows with Jimmy Johnson and Martin Truex Jr. in pit lane!” Those were just a few of the comments received this past weekend from the excited APA sweepstakes winners.
APA hosted the four winners and their guests for a VIP weekend at the races, which included garage passes, three nights of hotel accommodations at a local casino, airfare, ground transportation, two days of racing action, meals and spending cash.
The promotion ran from July through September in more than 230 of APA’s shareholders’ warehouse locations. Professionals’ Choice Warehouse Distributors gave every customer who purchased a product from one of the sponsoring manufacturers an entry form for a chance to win.
This year’s winners, each bringing a guest were:
· Brad Rhodes from D & B Service Center in Derby, Kan.;
· Ted McKelvey from Ted’s Service Center in Staffordville, N.J.;
· Peter Crawford from Ultimate Auto in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, Canada; and
· Ronnie Baiad from Ronnie’s Service in Brookfield, Conn.
“Oftentimes, our winners are surprised to learn that their names are literally drawn from a big tumbler of thousands of entries. There’s no favoritism being played, it’s simply luck of the draw,” said Caprice Caster, APA director of events and promotions.
The manufacturers sponsoring this year’s Speedway promotion include Federal-Mogul, Honeywell CPG, Exide, Airtex Fuel, Bendix, ASC Industries, KYB, Dorman and Bosch.
