BETHESDA, Md. The Auto International Association (AIA) is accepting nominations for the 2011 AIA People Awards. The AIA People Awards honor the excellence of individuals in the import automotive aftermarket. The awards include the Hall of Fame Award, the AIA Person of the Year Award, the AIA Lifetime Industry Achievement Award and the Young Executive of the Year Award.
Recipients of the 2010 award were:
Hall of Fame Award Hans Bierdümpfel, Karlyn Industries
The Barry Breslow AIA Person of the Year Award Martin T. Gold, S-G Imported Car Parts
AIA Lifetime Industry Achievement Award Mary Lynn Nyman, ZF Services North America
Young Executive of the Year Award John Sanford, Auto-Wares/Foreign Parts Specialist
The 2011 awards will be presented at the AIA Luncheon and Awards Program on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.
