Assertiveness, Decision Making Skills Focus of June 12-13 Aftermarket Workshop in Troy, MI

Troy, MI – The University of the Aftermarket’s “Personal Development Workshop,” an intensive day-and-a-half course developed specifically for professionals in the replacement parts industry, will be offered June 12-13 in Troy, MI. The workshop (Course #G550) is open to professionals with any level of aftermarket experience.

The workshop will feature three primary components – completion and analysis of a DiSC personality profile; mastering the art of assertiveness; and enhancing the personal decision making process. The DiSC profile system enables participants to determine which of four characteristics — Dominance, Influence, Conscientiousness, or Steadiness – defines their personality, and to leverage this understanding for improved workplace relationships.

The workshop also will help participants improve their decision making skills through the application of a proven seven-step process, by using group-oriented decision making methods, and exploring ways to make faster, better decisions with minimal conflict.

Workshop participants will earn 1.2 continuing education credits that may be applied to an automotive aftermarket professional designation available through the University of the Aftermarket. These designations include Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) and Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP).

The “Personal Development Workshop” will take place at the Detroit-area campus of Northwood University, 1900 W. Big Beaver Road, Suite 200, Troy, MI 48084.

For more information and to enroll in the workshop, call 800-551-2882 or visit the University of the Aftermarket website: http://www.univaftmkt.org.
