ASC Adds 30 Numbers to Water Pump Timing Kit Offering

ASC says its full offering now provides kits for more than 43 million vehicles in operation, which is 90 percent application coverage.

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – ASC Industries Inc. has just released 30 new part numbers to its water pump timing kit line. ASC says its full offering now provides kits for more than 43 million vehicles in operation, which is 90 percent application coverage.

There are more than 48 million import and domestic vehicles on U.S roadways that operate with timing belt-driven water pumps, according to ASC. Replacing a water pump or a timing belt on these applications is labor intensive. In fact, the majority of technicians often recommend replacing the water pump and timing belt at the same time to avoid duplicated labor.

Water pump timing kits are available in both ASC and Airtex brands. Each kit includes a genuine ASC/Airtex water pump and expertly designed, OE-quality timing belt formed from the most durable materials, the company says. Plus, when required by the application, kits also include OE-quality tensioners, idler and tensioner pulleys, damper and tensioning springs. ASC adds that its kit line provides great coverage with a just minimal amount of SKU’s – 56 kits offer 90 percent coverage.
