The Automotive Service Association, with the support of ASA Pennsylvania, has put together a robust training program, taking place April 8-9 in Philadelphia at the DoubleTree Airport Hotel. The event will bring a full-day management session dedicated to shop owners and managers on Friday and service repair training to technicians and service advisers on Saturday. Both days include AMI-approved course content.
Management training on April 8 will be led by Bob Greenwood, president and CEO, Automotive Aftermarket E-Learning Centre Ltd. His workshop, titled “Profitability Secrets That Dramatically Build Your Bottom Line,” has been approved for credit by AMi. Registration for management training also includes admission to the technical training sessions the following day.
Technical training, taking place on April 9, will include sessions with Donny Seyfer, co-owner, Seyfer Automotive Inc.; Scot Manna, owner, MB Automotive Inc.; and Bill Haas, president, Haas Performance Consulting. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose their sessions with each of these trainers and receive AMI credit.

This program will help students gain insight into repair procedures for several 2016 North American, Asian and European model vehicles. Upon completion, participants will have a better understanding the latest trends and industry influences and what features and technologies to expect, including vehicle materials and designs, safety features and fuel-saving strategies. Registration for this class can be found on the I-CAR website i-car.com or by calling I-CAR Customer Care at 1-800-422-7872.
For both days, networking opportunities, refreshment breaks, breakfast and lunch are included. The association encourages all attendees to join for the reception, taking place at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 8. An ASA Tri-State meeting also will take place on Saturday evening, hosted by ASA Pennsylvania. All ASA members and those interested in becoming a member are invited to attend.
