ArvinMeritor and Raydan Manufacturing Enter into Licensing Agreement for Vocational Suspensions

ArvinMeritor Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group has signed a licensing agreement with Raydan Manufacturing Inc. for the patented Air Link rear tandem suspension product line. Raydan Manufacturing is a producer of specialized suspension and coupling systems for trucks and heavy equipment. The company is based in Alberta, Canada.

TROY, MI — ArvinMeritor Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group has signed a licensing agreement with Raydan Manufacturing Inc. for the patented Air Link rear tandem suspension product line. Raydan Manufacturing is a producer of specialized suspension and coupling systems for trucks and heavy equipment. The company is based in Alberta, Canada.

This exclusive agreement begins a long-term global collaboration between the two companies authorizing ArvinMeritor to market, engineer and manufacture the Air Link rear suspension product line, up to and including 52,000 lb. gross tandem weights for commercial truck, trailer, specialty and military OEMs. Raydan will continue to manufacture the suspension for crane chassis, custom retrofit and all applications above 52,000 lb. gross tandem weight.

According to Sergio Carvalho, ArvinMeritor’s vice president and general manager for brakes, suspension systems, trailer products and ride control, this is a significant agreement for ArvinMeritor as the company expands its suspension module product line.

Effective immediately, all engineering, marketing, product planning and sales activities for Air Link applications specified within the agreement will be managed from ArvinMeritor’s headquarters in Troy, Mich.
