Arnold Motor Supply, a Midwest-based automotive parts chain, has purchased the Central Parts and Machine stores in Central Nebraska.
Central Parts and Machine has been in business since 1963, with locations in Columbus and Albion, Nebraska. The previous owner, Al Kluever, said the decision to sell to Arnold Motor Supply was an easy one. “As I began to look toward the future, I realized that we needed to formalize a plan to ensure that our customers are taken care of today and in the future,” said Kluever. “Arnold Motor Supply has the same dedication to customer service that we do.
They also started as a family owned business and have built a strong presence in Nebraska.”
“We are expanding our family of stores and are thrilled to have the current Central Parts team members be a part of it,” said Mike Molle, VP of Store Operations. The same friendly and knowledgeable team the Columbus and Albion communities have relied on for the past several decades will stay on, including Al Kluever who will run the machine shop operations at the Columbus location.
The Central Parts and Machine stores will be re-branded to Arnold Motor Supply, joining more than 60 other locations throughout the Midwest. In addition to the rebrand, the stores’ inventory is expanding with replacement parts from national brands like Bosch, USA-made Deka batteries and Perfect Stop brakes and high-carbon rotors.
According to Arnold Motor Supply, Kluever built his almost 60-year old business on relationships and the dedication to having the right parts on-hand for his customers. Now the customers of Albion and Columbus will have access to an even greater supply of parts with the backing of the Arnold Motor Supply distribution centers in Omaha, Nebraska and Spencer, Iowa. “The stores will receive daily mid-day and overnight stock deliveries, so if a part is not on the shelf right now, we can get it in a matter of a few hours,” Molle said.
