CHANTILLY, Va. The European Division of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) will be hosting a European Mechatronics and Automatic Transmission Workshop on Nov. 12-13, at the Ramada Birmingham North Hotel, in Birmingham (Cannock), U.K.
The Automatic Transmission Workshop will take place on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 12. Mackie Automatic Transmissions will begin the workshop with a presentation on “Modern Transmission Remanufacturing Techniques,” which will be followed by William Henney, who will discuss double clutch transmissions. After a networking session, ATP will give a presentation on automatic transmissions, followed up by a session from ZF Germany.
On Friday, Nov. 13 the Electronics and Mechatronics Workshop will get underway with a presentation by University Bayreuth on Testing Technologies via CAN bus, followed by an electronic controllers session by ATP. Next up will be Delphi talking about “Diesel Engine Management Systems.” Following a networking break will be a presentation by Remaco about E&M remanufacturing and testing. Then the group will hear a presentation by Bosch CAR Multimedia and then a presentation by ACtronics about testing mechatronics in a network environment. After lunch there will be a plant tour of ATP in Cannock.
