APRA Electrical Clinic Scheduled for Las Vegas

The Electrical Division of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association will hold a training clinic for custom rebuilders and auto electric shops in Las Vegas on Saturday Oct. 29, 2005. The meeting will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Riviera Hotel.

CHANTILLY, VA — The Electrical Division of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association will hold a training clinic for custom rebuilders and auto electric shops in Las Vegas on Saturday Oct. 29, 2005. The meeting will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Riviera Hotel.

“The program content features three top-notch speakers on a variety of technical and customer relations topics of key interest to the electrical rebuilder and custom auto electric shop,” stated APRA President, Bill Gager.

Mohammad Samii of Sammy’s Auto Electric in Champaign, IL will present “Improving Your Technical Competency so You Can Be More Profitable.” He will cover starter pattern failures, computer activation of CS alternators and regulator selection, Chryslers computerized charging system, Denso FR terminal characteristics and much more.

Gregory Neuenfeldt of Dow Corning in Plymouth, MI will cover “Lubrication Best Practices for Starter Motors.” The basics of grease formulations and potential problems of improper lubrication will by analyzed.

Joe Sotolongo of Rand Premium Electronics in Doral, FL will cover “Rectifiers: How to Select Reliability.” How to choose the right rectifier for the right application for maximum reliability and cost savings will be the focus of this presentation.
