APH Chili Cook-off Raises $1,500 for Breast Cancer Research

Prior to the start of a recent Auto Value parts stores product expo, Automotive Parts Headquarters Inc. (APH), in partnership with its manufacturers' representatives, hosted its second annual chili cook-off, where more than a dozen chili dishes were entered.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Prior to the start of a recent Auto Value parts stores product expo, Automotive Parts Headquarters Inc. (APH), in partnership with its manufacturers’ representatives, hosted its second annual chili cook-off. More than a dozen chili dishes were entered and $1,500 was raised for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Chili cook-off champion, Randy Buckingham, district manager for WIX Filters.
 
“APH and its network of Auto Value stores are strong believers and supporters of giving back to the communities and people they serve,” commented Randy Buckingham, district manager for WIX Filters and chili cook-off champion. “We are proud to help them, in any way we can, raise money and awareness for this important campaign.”
 
Every year, October observes National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Car Care Month. To coincide with both educational awareness campaigns, Auto Value parts stores and service centers will offer materials to customers on the importance of breast health and vehicle preventative maintenance. They also will serve as a collection point for donations to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
