Automotive Parts Associates Announces Board Election Results

The elections were held at APA’s 34th Annual Conference, held last week in Los Angeles.

APA-logoLENEXA, Kan. – Automotive Parts Associates (APA) has announced the results of its 2015 board of directors and officer elections. The elections were held at APA’s 34th Annual Conference, held last week in Los Angeles.

APA members elected Joseph Koudsi as a new board member. Koudsi is vice president of International Metric Specialists (IMS), located in North Hollywood, Calif. Koudsi co‐founded IMS in 1977 while attending UCLA. He also is a member of S.I.P.S., serving on its board for the past three years.

APA members re-elected Ben Yelowitz, president of Crest Auto Stores and CFO/treasurer of POJA Warehouse L.P., both located in Philadelphia, Pa. As a very active APA member, Yelowitz has served on the APA Board of Directors since 2009, holding the positions of chairman, vice chairman and treasurer. He also has been serving on APA’s Product and iSuccess Committees.

APA members re-elected Robert Jacobs, president of Automotive Warehouse Co. and vice president, Automotive Supply Inc. in Wichita, Kan. Jacobs has served APA’s Board for more than 15 years, filling various roles, including Chairman. Jacobs also is the current chairman of APA’s iSuccess Committee.

The following 2015 officers were selected and confirmed by the board: Yelowitz will serve as chairman; Gene Bochinski, G & H Import Auto Parts, will serve as vice chairman; Doug Squires, CPA, CMA BestBuy Distributors Ltd., will serve as treasurer; and Randall Swedlove, Morris Automotive Supply, will serve as secretary.
