AOCA Elects New Board Members

At its annual business meeting held April 24 in New Orleans, the members of the Automotive Oil Change Association, (AOCA), elected L. Ward Huntley to a three-year term on its board of directors. Huntley is the president of South Lubes, Inc., headquartered in Orange Park, Fla. The company operates 60 Jiffy Lube locations in Florida and North and South Carolina. Huntley has been a member of AOCA since entering the fast lube industry in 1994, and is the first franchisee to serve on AOCA’s board.

DALLAS — At its annual business meeting held April 24 in New Orleans, the members of the Automotive Oil Change Association, (AOCA), elected L. Ward Huntley to a three-year term on its board of directors. Huntley is the president of South Lubes, Inc., headquartered in Orange Park, Fla. The company operates 60 Jiffy Lube locations in Florida and North and South Carolina. Huntley has been a member of AOCA since entering the fast lube industry in 1994, and is the first franchisee to serve on AOCA’s board.

At that same meeting, AOCA’s associate members elected Kirk Gustie of Service Champ to serve as their representative to AOCA’s board. Gustie has been in the fast lube industry for more than 22 years.

At a later meeting of the board, Sue Ackley of Xpress Lube in St. Louis, was elected to a second term as president of the association. Dave Jensen, a Penn 10 operator in Waterloo, Ontario, was re-elected vice president and Steve Allison, who runs six Shell Rapid Lubes in Myrtle Beach, SC, was elected secretary/treasurer.

Others continuing their service on the AOCA Board of Directors include Scotti Lee, New Castle, Del., Chris Tolsdorf, West Chester, Pa., and Dan Mason of Easley, SC. Dave Prange of The Heartland will continue as one of two associate member reps to the AOCA Board.
