AMSOIL Introduces Fuel Efficient, Extended Life Synthetic 5W-40 Premium Diesel Oil

The new oil also reduces packaging waste and waste oil disposal by three-fold, as well as downtime for maintenance, according to Amsoil.

SUPERIOR, Wis. – Amsoil Inc. recently upgraded its Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil for extended service life, highlighting the documented fuel efficiency benefits of the product.

This premium diesel oil for model year 2007 and newer heavy-duty and pickup truck diesel engines requiring API CJ-4 emission quality oil standards is formulated with the latest additive technology and the most advanced synthetic base oils. According to AMSOIL, the Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil exceeds the higher performance demands of modern engines and provides improved fuel economy up to 3 percent or an average of 1.6 percent (55 percent city, 45 percent highway).

According to the company, AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil resists breakdown and is recommended for three times the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) oil drain interval, not to exceed 50,000 miles/600 hours or 1 year. Drain intervals may be extended further when monitored by oil analysis. The new oil is compatible with all exhaust treatment devices and its low sulfated ash formula is designed to extend the service life of diesel particulate filters.

The new oil also reduces packaging waste and waste oil disposal by three-fold, as well as downtime for maintenance, according to Amsoil.

AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil is backward compatible for use in all existing engines, though specifically designed to meet CJ-4 diesel specs. Where appropriate, AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil recommended for diesel or gasoline engines requiring any of the following specifications: SAE 5W-40 API CJ-4, CI-4+, CF, API SM, SL, ACEA E7 E9, Mack EO-O Premium Plus, DDC Power Guard 93K218, Caterpillar ECF-3, ECF-2, Cummins 20081, Volvo VDS-4, MB 228.31, MTU Type II & I, MAN 3275, JASO DH-2, Global DHD-1, Renault RLD-3.
