ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Affinia Group is more than tripling its warehouse and distribution capacity in Extrema, Minas Gerais, with the building of a new facility located about 100 kilometers (62 miles) from São Paulo. The facility is scheduled to begin operations this month.

Affinia’s South American subsidiary, Affinia Automotiva, has operated in Extrema since 2005. With this new construction, the Extrema operation is growing from 3,000 square meters (32,000 square feet) to 10,000 square meters (107,000 square feet). The additional 7,000 square meters (75,000 square feet) will be dedicated to warehouse operations.
