Affinia Group Recognized for Information Technology Innovations in Brazil

Information Week Brazil annually publishes a list of "The 100 Most Innovative Companies in the Use of IT," basing its rankings on the degree of maturity of information management processes. Affinia ranked first in the automotive category and 13th in a general ranking of 261 companies.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Affinia Group has received a first-place ranking by Information Week Brazil magazine for IT innovations in the country.

Information Week Brazil annually publishes a list of "The 100 Most Innovative Companies in the Use of IT," basing its rankings on the degree of maturity of information management processes. Affinia ranked first in the automotive category and 13th in a general ranking of 261 companies.

"The effective application of information technology in support of our customers and trade partners is a key element of our World Smart business model," said Affinia Group President and CEO Terry McCormack. "We applaud our people in Brazil for setting the bar extremely high for others in aftermarket products and services."

In addition to its first place ranking in the automotive segment, Affinia was also recognized in the Information Week Brazil study as a benchmark in the IT field. The Affinia Brazil IT team includes 40 professionals who manage daily operations as well as IT research and development.

"Achieving this recognition is a direct result of our commitment to the continual enhancement of our IT capabilities," said Andre Brasil, Affinia’s IT manager in Brazil. "Every month, our IT team devotes at least 10 percent of its time to developing new technologies to add value for our customers."
