Aeroquip Launches ‘100 Proof’ Campaign

In response to offshore and private brand product influences in the performance channel, Aeroquip Performance put together three simple messages that the company says are the pillars of its new "100 Proof" campaign: Engineered, Tested, Qualified.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – With an increasing number of hose and fitting repackagers in the marketplace, Aeroquip Performance is reaching out to consumers and trade partners this year with a new campaign to educate users about the importance of using quality hose and fittings in performance plumbing applications. According to Aeroquip, it is the only actual manufacturer of both hose and fittings in the performance channel.

In response to offshore and private brand product influences in the performance channel, Aeroquip Performance put together three simple messages that the company says are the pillars of its new
“100 Proof” campaign:

1) Engineered – This promotes the fact that all Aeroquip hose and fittings are specifically designed to work together, not just parts, but as a system, the company says. “We don’t rely on other companies to do our design work or prototypes, it’s all done in-house and with Eaton engineering processes that are world class,” the company notes.

2) Tested – Aeroquip hose and fittings are constantly tested to ensure they meet the 4:1 factor of safety rule built into all of the company’s products. All hoses are proof pressure-tested to two times the rated working pressure of the hose to ensure there are absolutely no defects in the product, the company says. Also, Aeroquip adds that a 4:1 factor of safety means the company’s products are designed and built to withstand four times the rated working pressure of the hose before any failure will occur.

3) Qualified – In fact, Aeroquip says that no other brand can claim they manufacture both hose and fittings in this industry. Aeroquip Performance has been doing so for more than 65 years. Aeroquip says the company’s length of experience and track record sets the bar for the competition.

Aeroquip Performance Products’ “100 Proof” message will be supported with plans for advertising and sales tools to reach the consumer and distribution base.
