CHARLEVOIX, Mich. Advanced Clean Air Technologies (ACAT) Global, maker of catalytic converter substrates, has been recognized as one of Michigan’s 50 Companies to Watch as part of the 2014 Michigan Celebrates Small Business awards program.
ACAT Global joins a select group of the 2014 honorees. Chosen by a panel of entrepreneurs and leaders in economic development, firms recognized are headquartered in the Great Lakes State and in their second-stage of business, meaning, beyond the startup phase. The 50 Companies to Watch award also requires that honorees must show “evidence such as employee or sales growth, exceptional entrepreneurial leadership, sustainable competitive advantage or other notable factors that showcase the company’s success.”
“Having ACAT Global make it on the Michigan 50 Companies to Watch list is a proud moment for us,” said Joseph Moch, CEO of ACAT Global. “Being recognized by the Michigan small-business community validates the dedication we’ve put in to making ACAT Global a leader in Michigan and the automotive industry.”
ACAT Global, which was founded in 2010, has brought smaller, lighter and more efficient catalytic converters to market. ACAT Global’s catalytic converters are used in automobiles, power plants, locomotives and manufacturing facilities, suppressing emissions and noise.
ACAT Global was recognized May 6, 2014, at the 10th annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business banquet, held at the Breslin Center in Lansing, Mich.
