AAPEX 2005: A Winning Experience for Buyers and Exhibitors

The 2005 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) that took place last month in Las Vegas, set new records and exceeded registration goals, according to show organizers.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The 2005 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) that took place last month in Las Vegas, set new records and exceeded registration goals, according to show organizers.

Among the new records and successes realized this year, show organizers have reported on the following improvements at AAPEX 2005:

• a record-breaking 2,063 exhibitors

• a 20 percent increase in the number of buyers verifying on-site at AAPEX;

• enhanced registration procedures that ensured quality buyers;

• increased participation in the New Product and New Packaging Showcases with awards given to 27 companies in the New Product Showcase and three companies in the New Packaging Showcase;

• a record number of online pre-registrations;

• record participation in the on-site raffle, a 2006 Ford Mustang sponsored by Motorcraft;

• sold-out attendance at the AAIA Town Hall breakfast on Nov. 2 and at the AASA Executive Breakfast on Nov. 1.

“AAPEX 2005 was a very good show and an all-around solid event for buyers and exhibitors,” said Bill Glasgow, Sr., AAPEX show manager.
