AAIA Town Hall at AAPEX Switches to TV Talk Show Format

The traditional "firing squad" panel format of the annual AAIA Town Hall meeting at AAPEX has been replaced with a more dynamic and interactive television talk show-style staging, AAIA announced today. The Town Hall breakfast, sponsored by NASCAR Performance, will be held from 7 a.m. to 8:50 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Venetian Ballroom in Las Vegas.

BETHESDA, MD — The traditional “firing squad” panel format of the annual AAIA Town Hall meeting at AAPEX has been replaced with a more dynamic and interactive television talk show-style staging, AAIA announced today. The Town Hall breakfast, sponsored by NASCAR Performance, will be held from 7 a.m. to 8:50 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Venetian Ballroom in Las Vegas.

The popular, sell-out event attracted nearly 1,100 attendees last year. This year’s theme is, “What Part of Parts, Accessories & Service Don’t We Understand: And Aren’t We Glad We Don’t Work for Detroit?” will see the return of AAIA President and CEO Kathleen Schmatz as moderator of the Town Hall meeting.

Industry guests will include: Michael Coppola, president and COO of Advance Auto Parts; Tim Lee, CEO of Certified Automotive and Lang Distributing and president of Lang Auto Parts; Chris “Chubby” Frederick, president of the Automotive Training Institute; and Van Kirk, president of Auto Tech Service.
