Maxxis Nets Knicks Sponsorship

Maxxis will sponsor the New York Knicks for the remainder of the season, getting courtside, Jumbotron and LED ribbon board signage during home games.

From Tire Review

SUWANEE, Ga. – Maxxis announced it will be an official partner of the New York Knicks basketball team for the season’s remaining games.

During home games, Maxxis’ signage will appear courtside for 30 seconds of TV coverage on an LED board at Madison Square Garden. The Maxxis logo also will appear on the GardenVision Jumbotron and LED ribbon boards during the Road Ahead, which promotes the team’s upcoming schedule.

Maxxis also will sponsor a game night giveaway, giving attendees an item displaying the brands of both Maxxis and the Knicks.

With its global headquarters in Taiwan, Maxxis said its sponsorship of the Knicks is especially fitting given the success of player Jeremy Lin. Lin, whose parents are from Taiwan, has scored at least 20 points in the past six games, inspiring “Linsanity” in basketball fans, the tiremaker said. The Harvard graduate was called upon as a starting player for the team just this month and already has become a genuine phenomenon, Maxxis added.
