Pep Boys and Wright Express Team up to Deliver Pep Boys Fleet Services Program

New Pep Boys charge and universal fleet cards provide business customers added offerings.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — Wright Express Corp., a provider of payment processing and information management services to the U.S. commercial and government fleet industry, has partnered with Pep Boys to launch the Pep Boys Fleet Services Program.

Through the new program, Pep Boys will offer business customers a proprietary charge card for automotive tires, maintenance, repairs, parts and accessories. In addition, Pep Boys is launching a co-branded universal fleet card program, which can be used at the more than 180,000 locations that accept Wright Express.

“The Pep Boys family is very excited about our relationship with Wright Express and the success we will share together," said John Sciandra, manager-fleet, Pep Boys. "We firmly believe that our experience and knowledge as a unique automotive aftermarket provider along with Wright Express’ experience and knowledge as the leading fleet card provider in the industry will allow us to make great strides in growing the service and fuel business through our card program.”

In addition to the convenience of a robust, nationwide acceptance network, the Pep Boys Universal Fleet Card offers custom card controls and a secure driver identification requirement that tracks fueling transactions, Pep Boys points out.

“As a leading industry provider, Pep Boys represents the type of highly regarded company that Wright Express strives to establish partnerships with for the benefit of customers and we are honored to play a role in shared future growth,” said David Maxsimic, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Wright Express. “Through this expanded relationship, we will grant Pep Boys’ business customers access to the broader Wright Express acceptance network in addition to the other offerings afforded by the charge and fleet cards for business customers.”
