SEMA Business Technology Symposium to Examine Industry Trends and Opportunities

Developed by the SEMA Street Performance Council (SPC), the event has become a premier business development forum with several unique opportunities to gain a competitive advantage through the implementation of effective technology-based strategies.

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. – Recognizing that technology is a crucial element in many industries, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) wants to help automotive businesses better understand the trends and opportunities available to them. To do so, the association will host the SEMA Business Technology Symposium from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on July 27 at the Renaissance Hotel in Long Beach, Calif.

The SEMA Business Technology Symposium is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of the opportunities that exist using technology to support different aspects of their businesses. Participants will learn proven strategies and best practices from experts in the fields of online marketing, multimedia, sales and eCommerce that will help them be more productive online.

Developed by the SEMA Street Performance Council (SPC), the event has become a premier business development forum with several unique opportunities to gain a competitive advantage through the implementation of effective technology-based strategies.

“Given today’s competitive marketplace, companies are relying more and more on emerging technologies for brand building, lead generation and in some cases, as a primary source of commerce,” said Tyler Tanaka, vice president, business development at Cie Digital Labs. “Technology is continuing to revolutionize the way business is conducted in the automotive aftermarket and our members’ businesses are ever-changing as a result. We want to give them the necessary tools to be prepared, understand and take advantage of the potential opportunities that exist while doing business in today’s digital world.”

Participants will enjoy a full day of programming, consisting of five business technology “supersessions,” each covering a diverse range of topics that include:

• Manufacturer and distributor online marketing essentials
• Mobile’s role in the automotive aftermarket
• Connecting with customers: effective content marketing
• Capture, manage and nurture leads to win more customers
• Product design and manufacturing technology that could change the aftermarket

Registration includes entrance to the 2011 Business Technology Symposium, lunch and an opportunity to win prizes, including an iPad. Pre-registration runs through July 9.
