WESTMONT, Ill. Automotive research provider IMR Inc. will be sponsoring one of the premier running races in the Chicago area: the 2011 “St. Paddy’s Day 5K,” which takes place March 12 in Naperville, Ill.
“One of my goals when I started IMR was to be an active member of the community,” said Bill Thompson, president and CEO of IMR Inc. “The annual St. Paddy’s Day 5K is a great community event that benefits a wonderful organization, the DuPage Senior Citizens Council. The council does tremendous things to help senior citizens in the Western suburbs of Chicago. It will be a fun day for a great cause and IMR is honored to be part of it.”
Headquartered in Westmont, Ill., IMR Inc. has been an industry leader in automotive research since 1975. The company conducts syndicated and proprietary market research studies that focus on automotive parts and services, repair shops, technicians, accessories and vehicle technology trends. The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise, in cooperation with West Suburban Irish, is hosting the “St. Paddy’s Day 5K” on March 12. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the DuPage Senior Citizens Council, which provides food and well-being check-ups for seniors through the Meals-on-Wheels program.
The race starts at 8 a.m. in downtown Naperville and will conclude in time for everyone to enjoy the annual West Suburban Irish St. Patrick’s Day Parade, also held in downtown Naperville.
