MONTGOMERY, Ala. Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast Education Foundation (AAASEF) Chairman Tom Powell of PSKB Inc. in Atlanta, Ga., is pleased to announce the winners of the 2010 AAASEF scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Students sponsored by Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast (AAAS) members selected to receive the scholarships are:
Megan McCain – Jasper, Ala.
Blake Enfinger – Dothan, Ala.
Benjamin Maclay – Huntsville, Ala.
Lauren Rambo – Wetumpka, Ala.
Bridget Trammell – Vinemont, Ala.
Adina Treise – Cape Coral, Fla.
Cooper Lewis – Greenville, Ala.
Cutler Littleton – Madison, Fla.
Cody Dempsey – Albertville, Ala.
Megan McCain was awarded the honor of receiving the Stan Waits Memorial Scholarship. Megan received this honor in 2009, as well. The Stan Waits Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually and is endowed by Associate Jobbers Warehouse, Inc. (AJW) in Boaz, Ala., members and friends.
Blake Enfinger was awarded the honor of receiving the Dick Bell Memorial Scholarship. The Dick Bell Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually and is endowed by AAAS members and friends.
Additionally, AAASEF has reserved scholarship funds for association members and employees wishing to further their education or enhance their skills at trade schools, junior colleges, manufacturer sponsored clinics, etc. This effort is aimed at enhancing and expanding the capabilities of AAAS members and employees. Powell thanks all of the association members and industry contributors for their efforts in making this valuable program possible.
AAAS, along with several other associations, collaborates with the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Committee. Through this cooperative effort, students are able to complete one online application and receive consideration for the AAASEF, the GAAS scholarships and other industry awards.
