Henkel Acquires National Adhesives; Establishes Dedicated Team Focused on Automotive Lighting Technologies

Company expands portfolio of bonding and sealing products for automotive lighting applications.

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Henkel has increased its lighting adhesive and sealant product offerings with the acquisition of the National Adhesives lighting adhesives company.

In order to support this subsequent product expansion, Henkel has increased investment in R&D and has established a dedicated team focused on automotive lighting technologies.

Henkel offers a full range of lighting adhesives and sealant technologies for automotive headlamp and tail lamp assemblies. Technologies include Bondmaster reactive hot melts and liquid polyurethane adhesives for forward and rear lighting lens bonding, along with Loctite Nuvasil light curing silicones for bulb potting.

"We are excited to provide our customers products and services that contribute to improved performance and reduced complexity to meet their complete lighting application needs."
