Leadership 2.0 Nearly Sold Out

Aftermarket professionals urged to submit registrations soon for remaining spots.

MIDLAND, Mich. – All but a few positions have been filled for the 2009-10 class of the University of the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 experience, the motor vehicle aftermarket’s premier executive development program. Industry professionals who still hope to join the upcoming class are urged to submit their registration materials as soon as possible.

“We have seen a significant increase in demand for class positions in each of the past two years, and we’re on track to fill the class earlier than ever in 2009,” said University of the Aftermarket Director Brian Cruickshank, AAP. “This is great news for the industry, as it signals a growing awareness of the need to invest in the next generation of aftermarket leaders.”

Leadership 2.0 is designed for any mid-level professional working in any segment of the aftermarket, including manufacturing, retail operations, wholesale distributing, program group management, association management and vehicle service operations. The program comprises two intensive five-day on-campus sessions, Sept. 20-25, at Northwood University’s campus in Midland, Mich., and April 11-16, 2010, at the University’s West Palm Beach, Fla. campus. Led by Northwood faculty and senior aftermarket executives and leaders, the curriculum includes a blend of industry research and market analysis, discussion and debate on aftermarket challenges and competitive strategies, individual communication skills training, negotiations and conflict management, insight into supply chain solutions and other industry topics. Participants collaborate between sessions on projects that tackle aftermarket-specific leadership challenges.

Participants who complete the Leadership 2.0 experience receive 6.0 continuing education units (CEU) that can be applied toward their AAP (Automotive Aftermarket Professional) and/or MAAP (Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional) certificates. The price to participate in the program is $5,895, which includes tuition, lodging and meals.
