BROADVIEW, Ill. — Purolator has been chosen by Mighty Distributing System of America to supply premium grade spin-on oil filters for Mighty’s Engine Guard II brand. Purolator will now supply Mighty with both its premium and value grade spin-on oil filters. Mighty, an aftermarket auto parts franchisor based in Norcross, Ga., has more than 110 distributors in 43 states.

"Expanding Purolator’s existing agreement with Mighty will create a single supply source to promote efficiency and ease of procurement while controlling supply chain costs and allowing product differentiation to installers," said Jeff Frey, director of sales for Filtration Products, Robert Bosch LLC. "This partnership will allow the Mighty franchisees and distributors to deliver two grades of quality oil filters to professional service dealers at competitive prices, when and where they need them."

"Mighty has served as a linchpin between manufacturers and professional installers for over 45 years," said Brad Bradshaw, Mighty’s vice president, product management. According to the terms of the agreement, Purolator will manufacture and deliver to Mighty two quality grades of spin-on oil filters that include 98 percent coverage of vehicles-in-operation.  "It will also help Bosch filtration products further penetrate the fast-growing do-it-for-me market segment and enable us to help Mighty service the professional installer with world-class parts and service,” said Frey.
