Show Organizers Announce There Will Be No Price Increases for 2009 NACE and CARS Registration

Early registration is encouraged to ensure access to any and all chosen sessions.

DALLAS — To heighten overall value for attendees, 2009 NACE and CARS attendee registration prices will not increase over 2008 fees. Attendee online registration opens in mid-June for the upcoming International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS), providing attendees with a multitude of options at 2008 pricing. These industry events, sponsored by Automotive Service Association (ASA), are co-located at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, and will take place Nov. 4-7 during the second annual Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW).

“Attendees will be able to register for any of our 2009 packages at 2008 pricing,” said Lindsay Roberts, director, Hanley Wood Exhibitions. “Some shops are struggling out there, but it’s never been more important to attend NACE and CARS, gain relevant training and take part in the events’ essential networking. We want to do what we can to help attendees realize the increase in value by keeping registration and housing rates low.”

Conference sessions are ticketed events and seating is limited. Early registration is encouraged to ensure access to any and all chosen sessions. Whether attendees are planning for a single day or the entire four day event, there’s a registration package for them.

The best value, the Super Pass (starting at $285) includes sessions in all available timeslots, one reception, opening general session/keynote, expo, commemorative bag and pin. The Wednesday Day Pass (starting at $200) includes sessions in all available Wednesday timeslots, one reception and expo. The Expo Pass (starting at $10) includes admittance to NACE and CARS exhibits. Additional options are available for the purchase of individual session tickets (starting at $60), I-CAR Technical Training ($85/class), PCI program ($50) and key events (NACE and CARS receptions at $50 each and opening general session/keynote at $25). Conference sessions and key events are available to all, whether attendees primarily represent the mechanical or collision segment of the industry.  More than 80 sessions are offered collectively in the NACE and CARS education program with many tracks and topics crossing segment boundaries and catering to any industry professional. Note that all starting prices above are based on registrations received on or before the early cut-off date of Sept. 17.

Free ASE Test Prep Classes for both mechanical and collision testing will again be available. Plus free education throughout the three Expo days, right on the show floor, including exhibitor-led educational theaters, product demonstrations, roundtable discussions, I-CAR Technology Showcase clinics, as well as all the AutoGlassWeek activities including Auto Glass Expo (AGX) exhibits, demos and technician competitions.

Housing & Travel
Online housing is now open with 30 to 70 percent savings in room rates [over 2008] available at all official NACE and CARS hotel properties — rates as low as $149 for Mandalay Bay and THEhotel; $109 for MGM (new in 2009 block); $109 for Luxor; $41-$83 for Excalibur; and $119 for New York-New York. Discounts are available off published airfares and based on availability from American, Continental, JetBlue, Northwest and WestJet, offering service from destinations nationwide to Las Vegas’ McCarran Airport. Special car rental rates are also available from Avis and Budget to help you get around Las Vegas easily. To receive the special travel discounts, go to HanleyWoodHousing.com or call 800.895.3978.
