STEZZANO, ITALY — Brembo has purchased from Brazilian company Sawem Industrial Ltd. the assets and business relating to the production and sale of flywheels for the automotive industry.
The business was purchased by Brembo do Brasil Ltda., a fully owned subsidiary, using available liquidity.
From the technology and production point of view, Brembo said the product fits nicely with the Brembo brake discs business, as far as casting and machining is concerned.
Brembo do Brasil Ltda., headquartered in Betim, Minas Gerais, specializes in the production and sale of brake discs for the aftermarket and the original equipment market, with Brazilian market share exceeding 50 percent.
Brembo is the owner of the Brembo, Marchesini, Sabelt brands and operates through the AP Racing brand.
