AASA China Aftermarket Forum Announces New Officers

The China Aftermarket Forum is a forum of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Alex Ashmore, director of Aftermarket Asia Pacific, TRW Automotive, Shanghai, China, was elected 2009 chairman of the AASA China Aftermarket Forum (CAF) at the group’s quarterly meeting in December.

The CAF is a forum of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA). Its quarterly meetings, held in Shanghai, include discussions of industry issues and solutions, sharing of best practices and networking with peers. Projects and initiatives include anti-counterfeiting, e-catalog, market analysis/research and China trade shows.

Other recently elected CAF officers include:
• Vice Chairperson – Clifford Kang, country director – China, Delphi Product & Service Solutions, Shanghai;
• Vice Chairperson – Wang Hao, managing director, ZF Sales & Service Shanghai Co., Shanghai; and
• Vice Chairperson – Jing Wang-Winter, marketing director, Asia Pacific, Federal-Mogul Corp. Aftermarket Product & Services, Shanghai.

At the meeting, the CAF recognized 2008 Chairman Jay Guddat, president, Gates Unitta Power Transmission Ltd, Suzhou, for his leadership and support of the Forum during the past two years.
