Rust-Oleum Auto Introduced at AAPEX

VERNON HILLS, Ill. – Rust-Oleum has introduced a new line of products specifically developed for the automotive aftermarket, under the brand Rust-Oleum Auto. The new line of paints, undercoatings, cleaners, strippers and solvents is being unveiled this week at the 2008 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo, Booth #4346, in Las Vegas.

“We’re set to reinvent the auto aerosol and coatings business with the launch of Rust-Oleum Auto,” said Jim Stinner, director of Rust-Oleum High Performance Coatings. “The new line offers solutions for everything from repainting a plastic bumper, refurbishing a truck bed to removing wax and tar.”

The products in the Rust-Oleum Auto line are ideal for automobiles, trailers, motorcycles, ATVs, ladder racks and engines. Many of the paints offer the same superior corrosion resistance and rust preventive protection that’s become synonymous with Rust-Oleum, according to the company. Plus, a variety of specialty coatings are included in the line, including textured metallics, high heat paints and professional undercoatings.

The line also includes a variety of cleaners, solvents, and removers for auto enthusiasts, including Rust Remover, Rust Stripper, Wax and Tar Remover, Aircraft Remover, Specialty Reducer and Clear Coat Remover.
