MONROE, MI — Tenneco Automotive’s Monroe shocks and struts and Walker exhaust brands have expanded the Expert Plus automotive service promotions and technician rewards program for 2004.

Expert Plus is a comprehensive offering of national trade and consumer promotions, marketing materials, merchandising tools and installation incentives for automotive repair facilities and professional technicians. The program attracted more than 20,000 members in 2003.

By joining the Expert Plus 2004 program, service shops and technicians automatically qualify to participate in an expanded schedule of brand promotions and receive a broad range of new, high-impact point-of-sale materials covering leading Monroe and Walker products. The annual program membership fee is $59.99.

“Expert Plus membership is a proven way to energize your undercar service business,” said Sheryl Bomia, North American Aftermarket programs manager for Tenneco Automotive. “The new merchandising materials alone are well worth the investment, plus shops are immediately enrolled in each of our national trade and consumer promotions. The bottom line is more business, and stronger customer relationships, for undercar shops of all sizes.”

New Expert Plus point-of-sale materials include a 20-inch illuminated wall clock, high-visibility Monroe and Walker countermats, two oversize wall charts and custom-imprinted 18-by-24-inch metal wall tacker sign. The Expert Plus 2004 marketing calendar includes four exclusive scorecard sales promotions, three nationwide Monroe consumer promotions and seasonal bonus offers that enable technicians to boost their program rewards on selected products.

Expert Plus members also have access to a toll-free technical help line and the updated www.expert-plus.com Web site, which provides a direct link to the latest vehicle test and inspection procedures, product bulletins and other technical documents from the Monroe and Walker engineering teams. Members also can use the site to track and redeem program points for any of a vast array of popular premium items.

For more information about the 2004 program, call Expert Plus Headquarters toll-free at (800) 603-6834, or send an e-mail to [email protected].
