RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) has established the European Automotive Aftermarket Manufacturers Council, a new discussion group for aftermarket executives heading their businesses’ European operations.
The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) was organized in 2002 by MEMA as its aftermarket market segment association to serve manufacturers of aftermarket components, tools and equipment, and related products.
The European Automotive Aftermarket Manufacturers Council will provide a forum for AASA members’ senior executives in Europe. The members will meet quarterly to discuss industry issues and solutions, share best practices and network with peers.
At the group’s recent organizational meeting in London, John McCormack, vice president of Federal-Mogul, was elected chairman and Don Miller, vice president and general manager of Tenneco Automotive, was elected vice chairman.
The council’s meeting format will include roundtable discussions of topics determined by the members. At each meeting’s close, the group will select discussion topics for the next meeting. Speakers will be invited to address specific subjects.
Council membership is limited to aftermarket product manufacturers who are members of AASA.
