JASPER, IN — Elgin Industries has been named a “Preferred Partner” by Jasper Engines & Transmissions, one of Elgin Industries’ largest customers. The award was presented during the annual Jasper Engines & Transmissions Preferred Partners Banquet on March 9.

Jasper is one of the nation’s leading remanufacturers of drive-train components, including gas and diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, alternate fuel engines, performance products and marine products. The Jasper Engines & Transmissions Preferred Partner Award is presented annually to recognize the company’s “Partners in Success.” Recipients are nominated by a purchaser within the Jasper organization and judged on quality, service, fill rate, response time to a problem and billing/credit procedures, among other criteria. Judging takes place by Jasper associates who use nominees’ products and services.

Elgin Industries was one of only seven Jasper vendors to be presented the award and has won the award for the third straight year.
