SmarTire Signs Distribution Agreement with Lexani Wheel Corp.

SmarTire Systems has signed a distribution agreement with Lexani Wheel Corp, a manufacturer of luxury alloy wheels based in California. Lexani will bundle SmarTire's tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) with its Johnson line of custom wheels, which are sold through its dealer base.

RICHMOND, BC — SmarTire Systems has signed a distribution agreement with Lexani Wheel Corp, a manufacturer of luxury alloy wheels based in California. Lexani will bundle SmarTire’s tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) with its Johnson line of custom wheels, which are sold through its dealer base.

A purchase order accompanied the distribution agreement, according to SmarTire.

“Because of the design of the Johnson wheel and the low profile of the tires that are usually mounted, it is of great advantage that the driver is aware of a tire losing air in order to avoid damaging the wheel and tire,” says Aaron DeWitt, director of marketing for Lexani Wheel Corp. “SmarTire products provide a reliable and timely warning of a low pressure condition, enabling the driver to take the appropriate precautions. We will be encouraging all our customers to use a SmarTire system to protect their substantial investment in wheels and tires.”
