NASHVILLE, TN — For the third consecutive season, Bridgestone has been named the Official Tire of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Bridgestone first appeared as the Official Tire at Long Beach in 2002, the same year that the brand debuted as the Official Tire and sole supplier for Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford. This year, every Champ Car competitor will again be equipped with Bridgestone Potenza racing radials.

In addition to the main event, the Bridgestone brand will also serve as the Official Tire for the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race for the eighth straight year. Participants in that race will compete in specially-prepared Toyota Celicas equipped with the Bridgestone Potenza RE750.

“This is certainly a very busy week for us, but we wouldn’t have it any other way,” said Al Speyer, executive director, Bridgestone Motorsport. “We’re proud to be so closely associated with the Grand Prix of Long Beach, which is certainly one of the country’s premier sporting events. It’s the perfect place for us to showcase our Bridgestone brand to a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic audience. We look forward to it every year.”
