BETHESDA, MD — The Car Care Council has reported that the states of Connecticut, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey and Tennessee recently signed proclamations officially declaring April 2004 as National Car Care Month. The mayor of the District of Columbia has also made the designation official.
“These new proclamations join the ranks with Nebraska, South Carolina and Wisconsin, who signed proclamations earlier in the month, in raising consumer awareness about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair,” said Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council.
The proclamations urge all motorists to “Be Car Care Aware” by inspecting their vehicles and performing maintenance necessary to ensure their vehicle is operating in a safe, efficient and clean manner.
